Just lay back, relax and enjoy......

[ I orignally wrote this to post in the forums, but it was wayyyy to long for them, so here it is. ]

Well, as I know I am going to get flamed by some for this writing, I can only say that this is simply my humble opinion, nothing more.

I came to RLC, as many of you did, because it simply looked to be a fun "adult" game environment. I had moderate hopes, to be honest, that at the very least it would be a good time diversion and a fun way to spend a bit of free time online. What I found it to be, once the initial first few days of exploring all the nooks and cranny's of the steamier side of this virtual world, was that the whole place is inhabited by real people. All the avi's are, simply put, are virtual "host" bodies, for within are actual humans, most very good and a few, well not so good and a few more down right awful. Hmmmmm just like in r/l. This epiphany also allowed me to get to know some of these real people and find that I liked a lot of them. Even though I haven't been on RLC as long as a lot of you, I too have come to find a home of sorts. Almost a small city perhaps, but one that has many divergent and vastly cultural and regional differences all in pretty much one place.

I look forward to, almost daily, getting in that little quirky, sometimes frustrating world and spending time with my friends there, meeting new people (and hopefully continuing to make new friends.) and exploring. I find solace in relaxing by skating, swimming, running the rocks or many other fun, silly and enjoyable activities on here. Yes there is the sex thing, that looms over the whole of Utherverse and I am glad that is a big part of the experience as well, but not the main aspect, well not for me. It's the people behind the avi's that have held my interest and kept me wanting to be here.

Now with the recent events of the "big fix" as I call it, we haven't been able to enjoy our time of being inworld and that does suck, sucks big time!! So I have made the best of it in the forums. I am not, as I am probably thought of, a RLC cheerleader or "cult" follower, rather I simply have to be myself and that is a somewhat realist in that, while they are fixing the "fix", there is nothing we can do about it but simply wait. No one expects everyone to be happy about it, I know I am not at all happy about the mess we are in right now, and also no one should not vent on the forums, rather that is how we should do things and hopefully owners and staff will see those postings and know how their customers feel. But making threats, pulling vip status, harassing those that are simply trying to make something fun out of a bad stretch for others really isn't doing a thing, nor showing management anything but a lot of mean spirit and in turn, making a bad time worse.

Yes you should be a bit pissed, to say the least, or even a bit resentful towards what has happened, but remember it has happened to ALL of us. And soon it will be fixed and we will all get back inworld and until the next "big fix" comes out, we will be back to our happy zabby building, clothing making, club hopping, bed thumping and whatever else we all do in here that makes us feel good, RLC lives!

I guess all I am saying is don't stress yourselves out soooo much and be sooo miserable over something that none of us can change for the time being. It will all work out soon enough and hopefully we will be enjoying much more than before and a better environment to have fun in. Time will tell, but for now why not get to know some of the people via the forums. It can be fun in here too. Life is short, make the very best of what you have while you are here.
