Do you have what it takes to be the Redlight Center’s Next Top Avatar Designer? RLC is hosting a new and innovative reality based competition featuring you - the members of RLC. Armed with the skill, creativity and ingenuity to design and create custom avatars and avatar textures, you the contestant, will be challenged to develop and execute designs to be featured in a weekly, reality based, interactive, media event.

Please download the Virtual Vogue Application and Release Form. Once you have downloaded the form, please read and fill out the entire application. Do not forget to include all supplementary materials along with your application. Once you have filled out the application completely and accurately choose one of the submission options below to complete your submission.

SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS
 
All applications must be received no later than:
 
Tuesday, April 30, 2007. 9:00 p.m. PST
 
Option One:   If you have access to a scanner then submit your application using this option.      
 
Print, sign, scan and attach all documents including all supplementary materials (i.e. Portfolio, Audition Tape etc.) or a link to a site where you have uploaded your supplementary materials and submit your application via email with the subject line: Competition Application to: virtualvogue@redlightcenter.com
 
Option Two:  If you do not have access to a scanner then submit your application using this option.
 
A- Print and sign all documents requiring you signature. Fax these documents to: 416-694-2252. On the covering letter please write:

ATTN: Anna – RLC Events and Media
 
SUBJECT: Virtual Vogue Competition Application
 
B- In your fax covering letter you must clearly state where all supplementary materials are located. Supplementary materials must be either emailed separately, in which event your email subject line must read: Supplementary Materials and clearly include your RLC Username as well as the date that the signed documents were faxed; or you must provide a link to a site where you have uploaded your supplementary materials for review.

But what is Virtual Vogue?

 

Twelve to fifteen contestants vie for the chance to become Redlight

Center’s Next Top Avatar Designer. Each week the contestants will be given a challenge - to design a custom avatar or avatar texture from a varied array of pre-selected themes. At the start of each episode the theme will be announced and each contestant will be randomly given a specific challenge based on that theme. Once issued, the contestants will have three days. From concept to creation to design; they will present their work in front of a panel of judges.

 

Immediately following the live broadcast presentation on the sixth day, their fate lies in the hands of the RLC public. Members of RLC will then be given a twenty four hour period in which they will cast their vote for their favorite creation. The contestant that receives the most votes for that week will be offered immunity in the following week’s challenge. The contestant that receives the least amount of votes will be eliminated.

 

The final winner will receive a store in the retail district, rent free for one year, and the title of being RLC’s Next Top Avatar Designer.
