Well first off Happy New Year and Welcome to 2010!! And I want to say thank you all for coming back to read this and to follow our paper again, as so much has been going on of late, we have take some time away but hopefully to be back even bigger and better in 2010!!

The night was set to be huge, so many folks in Utherverse opting to stay in and enjoy nye all over the verse and parties in so many venues, it was going to be a trick to try and get to as many as possible! John Russell and ClubRLC was hosting charity events all over the verse. This year's 27 hour event  once again benefited the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, ClubRLC's official charity. I now got the total of this one and its 58,795 rays (well over 3800.00 usd!!)!! Last year was over 34,000, so OMG WOOOOOOT to everyone that donated their hard earned rays to this truly important and very worthwhile charity and know that all of your donations, ALL, went to this grand charity! I want to thank John Russell personally for all his hard work, as this is so needed by so many! Also, huge kudos out to all the venues that participated and to all the dj's giving their time and energies, the staff at these venues and to all those that were a part of this! Throughout the day I hit as many of these venues as I could and it was rolling in them all as so many time zones to ring in the new years in! To name a few, Temptations, The Rose, The Onyx Room, Club IT, Silken Exposure, Full Moon (which I was in at like 8am est and the party was already kicking it, ahhhhh crazy party people soooo early in the am, woooot gotta love it!!) and there were many others that truly helped make this a sparkling event and a magical day!

Now, this reporter chose to go to 3 venues for the main part of the evening on New years, as any more than that would have killed her  (I am up at like 6am est daily, so pleaseee cut me some slack, lol)!! But with so many, I had to choose a few simply as time, and being able to stay awake and alive forced me to do so, lol.  Being in the eastern time zone, I choose to get in and ring in the new year in my time zone in, where else, NYC in the VWW's very own Times Square!!

I arrived way ahead of time and already the streets were packed, the music was cranking and Molten Silk was on stage driving the crowd wild! I worked my way around through the 80 + people and felt the energy and fun enveloping me from all sides. This VWW region was done to give the true times square feel, comeplete with subway stations, cabs, the feel and movement of NYC (I'm even pretty sure that I stepped in some gum, I hope it was gum anyway, lol). I was finally able to make my way to a hot dog cart and grab a glowie so I could bounce and shine myself for a while. HedDic was urging the ladies on the stage on and working the crowd as I found my "secret" place to dance and people watch from high above the streets and I was joined by my friends, the G's crew shortly there after and what a night it was. While the night did have it's own surprises due to servers popping and what not, and more than a few boots, I don't think anyone was not having fun in that packed region!! HDIC entertainment handled the tunes and working the mic's, Molten Silk and Molten Steel handled the hot, hot, hot entertainment on the main stage and the magic of new years eve in NYC took care of the rest!  <edit... nye was made by uther fantasy events team winks aka

A replica ball hung high on a pillar above the street, ready to begin its slow decent till we reached the end of 2009 and the begining of 2010. Also a giant screen tv was added to allow for the simulcast of the real times square event. And I must say the region was truly a NYC feel. Naturally, as we hit the final several minute countdown I got booted, but was able to, somehow, get back on and back into Times Square barely in time and am soooo glad I did! I can honestly say that I was, as were all those that attended the event in this region, a part of history! An important part of NYC was recreated and allowed for folks from all over the world, in the comfort of their own homes, to attend one of the largest street parties and also to be a part of it, not simply watching it on television (television, it is that box with moving pictures and sound that most of us simply have on in the background lol).

Yes folks 2010 certainly was brought into the verse in grand style and I can only hope that next years nye celebration will be even bigger! The other venues I spent my night in were, The Rose, and The House of Blues. The Rose was packed and the party was hugeeee in there! Now I am not sure, but I believe they were somehow pumping alcohol into the air, as the buzz was on and standing or sitting still in there was not to happen, lol!! The Dj was rocking the house and the night was about the party! I must thank the Rose and staff for hosting such a great party and for being a part of clubrlc's fundrasier!! It was a great place to ring in at least 5 time zones for sure WOOOOOOOT. The club really was done well but due to the sheer volume of folks, I couldnt get around to see it all, lol, but I will be coming back very soon, as they know how to have fun there!! You guys ROCK!! A huge thank you, as always, to the Belvanes  XOX, you folks were so kind in letting us spend a great evening in part with you and to make all feel so at home!

My last stop on this whirlwind party train, was The House of Blues. The club is just what it should be, a blues lovers paradise and the regulars there that were so kind to allow us to "bum rush" the place and take over their semi-quiet evening rocked!! I was running with my friends on this night and when G's crew hits the doors, well watch out, yesss we are noisy, fun and omg so ready to party, lol. I don't think that place will be the same ;)

The tunes were wonderful and aside from our craziness, which btw, eventually transfered onto the regs who got into pie fights and hid inside of giant wrapped presents, lol, kept us all moving on the huge dance floor. DjChelsea, when I pm'ed her, said that she already knew we were there and that we took over the place within minutes, from her regulars, lol. Ah well, when we party, we party!! Well, all in all, nye was a grand success in Utherverse and for this reporter, all I can say is that I truly cannot wait till next year to do it all over again and even bigger!!

<Ok, so the next morning was a bit odd waking up here, but oh well, what a ride!! Happy New Year!! WOOOOOT>
